Description

The 1931 Philadelphia Athletics were the last team that Hall of Famer Connie Mack would ever take to the World Series, but it was the upstart Gashouse Gang of St Louis that took the championship in seven games. The offered 20-page program from one of the four games played in the Gateway City is in VG condition with all pages complete and intact. The center page scorecards are unmarked and contain the pre-printed line-ups that feature a total of ten Hall of Famers. The cover of the program displays some mild toning as well as the very common centerfold crease. The back cover exhibits what looks to be a tobacco juice stain but is otherwise in good shape. This 9x12 pub does feature individual images of all of the St Louis Cardinals as well as a page of images for the Mack’s White Elephants.
