With the progression of Pugilistic Parkinsonís Syndrome and waning motor-skills, Muhammad Aliís signatures have become less consistent and scratchier over the decades. Offered is likely one of the earlier examples to hit the market, penned in ballpoint (ď9Ē) on the pictured 8-1/2 x 11 confirmation letter. The letter is dated to May 4, 1971, and itinerates a dinner and subsequent lecture by Ali at the Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. The autograph, visible on the bottom left, is as clear an example as one could hope, with every letter being completely legible. Despite being at one point folder and varying degrees of wear on the upper left corner, the one-of-a-kind letter proudly boasts a stunning signature from one of the most desirable athletes of the modern era.
