Description

The 1959-60 Ohio State squad was one for the ages, a team that started five future NBA players, three of which were first round picks and two of which are Hall of Famers. Led by NBA greats Jerry Lucas and John Havlicek, the Buckeyes rolled through the Big Ten (13-1) en route to a (25-3) record and a National Championship victory over California (75-55). The presented basketball pays homage to this squad, having been penned by all five starters in black sharpie on the upper white panel. The signatures grade (“9-10”) and include Jerry Lucas, John Havlicek, Larry Siegfried, Joe Roberts and Mel Nowell. The lower white panel displays the team’s overall record and championship victory, as well as being hand-numbered from a limited edition (#943/1960). Accompanied by a COA from James Spence Authentications, this vibrant basketball will beautifully adorn any Buckeyes collection.
