In many eyes, the single-season homerun champion remains Roger Maris, and the presented lot contains four pieces from this always popular and ever-elusive Bronx Bomber. The highlight is likely the trio of 1961-63 Bobbin’ Head 5x7 Ad-photos depicting Maris at Yankee Stadium, holding a bobbin’ head of none other than himself. The blank-back trio remains very appealing, with no writing, pinholes or other obtrusive blemishes. Two examples show a light crease near the bottom left corners (VG-EX), while the third example is crease-free and grades (EX-MT). The fourth piece of the lot is a 1964 Photo Linen Emblem of Maris in the original cellophane. The left edge of the cellophane has split, though the emblem itself remains in (MT) condition with an attractive cardboard backing. This impressive quartet will appease any Maris or Yankees collector.
