The presented collection features four interesting items likely missing from most Lou Gehrig collections. The oldest of the quartet is a 1927 W560 strip of three featuring Thompson (right, GD), Rhem (EX) and Gehrig (EX-MT). The strip is clean and complete, displaying only a light crease and tiny tear on the Thompson, leaving a lovely, unscathed Gehrig example. Chronologically, the next are two very appealing wax pack wrappers from the 1934 Goudey collection. Grading (EX) to (EX-MT), these wrappers are complete with vibrant colors and no obtrusive tears or staining. The final portion of the lot is a 1936 Wheaties Series 4 box-card of the Iron Horse. The box was cut to 4-1/4 x 7, shy of the full 8-1/2 x 6, though it remains more than appealing with a smooth cut and no stains, creases or tears. This lot contains four very attractive pieces that will beautifully adorn any Yanks or Gehrig showcase.
