Stymied by a lawsuit from Topps, the 1963 inaugural issue from Fleer was limited to a single series of (66) cards. Presented is the complete edition, featuring the extremely difficult checklist. The aggregate condition of the set is EX to EX-MT with some better and a few lesser. Key cards include, #4 B. Robinson (EX), #5 Mays (EX), #8 Yastrzemski (EX-MT), #41 Drysdale (EX), #42 Koufax (EX-MT), #45 Spahn (EX), #46 Adcock SP (EX), #56 Clemente (EX-MT), #61 Gibson (EX-MT) and the short-printed checklist (EX). Aside from moderate centering issues and a handful of instances of wax staining, these cards are crisp and clean.
The composite breakdown for this set is 8% (NM or better), 50% (EX-MT) and 42% (EX or slightly lesser).
