One of the more interesting issues of the depression era is found in the offered 1935 Goudey 4-in-1 complete set of (36) cards. This condition-sensitive set marks the last hurrah for “The Bambino” (his only depiction as a Boston Brave) and is flush with Hall of Fame talent. The median grade for this edition is (VG) with some better and others lesser. The undeniable highlights include the Ruth/Maranville/Brandt/McManus (VG-EX), Dean/Frisch/Carleton/Orsatti (VG) and Dickey/Lazzeri/Ruffing/Malone (GD-VG) cards. While a handful of cards reveal acute creasing, rounded corners and other technical flaws, the majority of examples are visually appealing.
The composite breakdown for this set is 17% (EX or better), 25% (VG-EX), 22% (VG) and 36% (GD or lesser)
