The offered 1916 D303 Mother’s Bread Chief Bender is a barely paralleled representation of the legendary hurler. This cornerstone has been judged a 50 VG-EX by SGC and depicts Bender as a Brooklyn Dodger (although he never suited up for the squad). According to the SGC population report, (29) total 1916 D303 Mother’s Bread examples have been graded, only two of Bender. This vibrant beauty is the highest-graded specimen and appears at the zenith of the technical grade. Crease free, with moderately rounded corners, the crystal clean registration is accompanied by a clean advertising reverse. This fragile card was released in the harsh Louisiana environment, proving this Hall of Fame survivor to be a paramount addition to any discerning collection.
