The offered lot contains an array of vintage non-sports cards ranging from the 1890s through the 1950s with a concentration of turn-of-the-century examples. While the condition of the elder examples is relegated to the lower ranks, most of the cards remain aesthetically pleasing with many newer examples grading significantly higher. Displaying flags, nations, wildlife and more, the offered lot contains an array of different tobacco reverses and advertisement backs ideal for the collector looking for a “diverse” collection. The lot includes (2) N164 1890 Goodwin Flowers (P/F), (14) N8 1890s Allen & Ginter 50 Fish series (average GD), (43) 1900s Fish Series 1-50 (one Sweet Caporal, the rest Piedmont averaging GD), (32) 1900s Fish Series 1-50 (three Sovereign, the rest Piedmont averaging GD), (14) 1900s Bird Series 1-100 (seven white border, seven gold border averaging P/F), (17) 1900s Types of Nations (six Recruit, six Scrap Iron, two Sub Rosa and three ad-backs, averaging GD), (12) Flags of All Nations (eight Recruit with two blue and one green, three Scrap Iron with one blue and two red, and one Sub Rosa averaging GD), (8) undefined blank backed flags, 1939 Wilbur-Suchard Flags (two near sets of 35/36, both missing only the USA flag, averaging EX-MT) and (5) 1950s Topps Mini-Flags with #99 United Nations (average VG).
