This beautiful composition Jackie Robinson doll is both a terrific baseball remembrance of a time when Robinson was the pioneer for black athletes and also as a fine collectible doll. Issued by Allied Grand Manufacturing Co. circa 1950, the “Roby” likeness has dark painted eyes looking toward the right, a closed smiling mouth and is all composition. The doll is in excellent condition with nominal crazing on the hands and face but no lost material and a very clean, non-faded, white felt Brooklyn Dodgers uniform featuring the number “47” on the back. The doll has a slightly faded Brooklyn baseball cap and does not have the original bat or shoes. This is a fine doll with movable legs, arms and head that will display well in your collection.
