Assembled is a group of seven turn-of-the-century baseball trade cards. These nineteenth-century relics are noted for their colorful depictions and pointed commentary of our national game. Found within are (2) 1887 Sporting Life: (VG fronts, with back stamps) with “Our Base Ball Manager”, “The Sporting Life Fiend”; 1887 O.H. Park Photographer: “Strike” (PR, scrapbook), 1893 N135 Honest Long Cut Talk of the Diamond : “A Short Stop” (FR), 1880s Chicago Herald boy die-cut (GD, pencil mark) and two additional 1880s trade cards entitled “Put It Here” and “Two Out, Two Strikes & Three On Bases” (both VG to VG-EX).
