Description

Although John Kruk played for two other teams during his 10-year career, his most notable years came while wearing the red-and-white pinstripes of the Philadelphia Phillies. Presented is a game-worn relic from the 1993 World Series, a heartbreaker for all Phillies fans, as their valiant team fell to the Blue Jays in six games. The jersey is lettered Phillies across the chest with Kruk’s "29” on the reverse and left sleeve. ”Kruk” is lettered across the shoulders on the back of this artifact just north of his number. All letters and numbers are red with blue and white trim. Adorning this fantastic jersey, which the All-Star batsman donned while hitting .348 for the Series, is Kruk’s signature ("10") on the #9. A simple "Rawlings Size 48" tag is stitched into the lower left portion of the front of this beautiful relic. There is the 1993 World Series patch on the right sleeve. The garment shows considerable game usage, most notably on the lower left portion of the jersey. The shirt has all the proper tags and markings, consistent with known examples from the period.
